Wiring diagram
DC power path for the LiFePO4 Smart 330Ah.
The drawing includes the required battery-management and load-disconnect hardware. Battery data and shutdown control leads are not represented by these symbols; use the complete manufacturer instructions to connect and test them.
DC power-path sizing
The example supplies a small fridge circuit through compatible battery management and load-disconnect hardware. Its power paths do not verify the required BMS communication, remote control or shutdown behavior.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Identify Lithium Battery Smart 12.8/330
This is the 12.8 V, 330 Ah Lithium Battery Smart, with Bluetooth cell monitoring and balancing. It needs a compatible external Victron BMS to protect the complete system. The newer Lithium NG range uses different BMS equipment. Match the Smart designation before choosing the BMS and its control wiring. See technical data, printed pages 35–36.
Understand the current values
The model-specific table gives 400 A maximum continuous discharge, 300 A recommended continuous discharge, 400 A maximum charging and 150 A recommended charging. Crimp uses 400 A discharge and retains the recommended 150 A charging value. Those values do not override lower limits of the selected BMS, cables, fuses or connected equipment.
Capacity also depends on temperature: the table gives 260 Ah at 0°C and 160 Ah at −20°C, versus 330 Ah at 25°C. Plan winter reserve from the relevant temperature rather than treating nominal capacity as constant.
Wire shutdown control as well as power
Use M10 power terminals tightened to 20 Nm, with the lug directly on the terminal and washers above. Select positive-side protection for the cable, battery and system; the 400 A battery rating alone does not determine the fuse. Mount in a dry indoor location, upright only for this 330 Ah model, and allow 20 mm ventilation space on all four sides. See installation, printed page 16.
The two M8 three-pole BMS leads are separate control connections. Daisy-chain them through the bank and connect both ends to the BMS. Ensure that every charging source and load can be stopped; Bluetooth alone provides no disconnect function.
Charge and commission the complete system
Set 14.2 V absorption for two hours, 13.5 V float, and disable charger temperature compensation. Charging is permitted only at +5 to +50°C; discharge is specified at −20 to +50°C. Confirm charger shutdown when the BMS disallows charging. See charging and operating conditions, printed pages 23–24.
Fully charge and balance individual batteries before making a series bank. The manual permits up to four 12.8 V batteries in series and 20 batteries total in parallel or combined banks. Fuse individual parallel batteries or series strings and the positive main feed, maintain balanced current paths, and do not tap series midpoints. Follow bank wiring and commissioning, printed pages 17–21.
