Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Identify the REGO connection system
The pictured metal-case battery with integrated cable and gray Anderson connector is the REGO RBT12400LFPL-SHBT, rated 12.8 V, 400 Ah, 5.12 kWh. Renogy's manual directory supplies that exact model; the former RBT400LFP12S-G1 identifier was unsupported. It includes heating and Bluetooth, with LP16 connections for RV-C communication. See manual directory and specifications, page 54.
Respect current and temperature limits
Maximum continuous discharge is 350 A. Charging permits 300 A at 15–50°C, reducing to 200 A at 0–15°C; colder conditions require the manual's heating and current controls. Crimp uses 350 A discharge and a 200 A charging planning value, which is deliberately below the warm-temperature maximum and is not permission to charge at 200 A below 0°C.
Set a compatible LiFePO4 charger to 14.4 V. The BMS can request lower current according to cell voltage and temperature when communications are established. Use its actual permission, not just the catalog maximum. See charging and BMS current requests, pages 34–35 and 42.
Wire the connector and protect branches
The battery supplies 4/0 AWG cable and a gray Anderson 350 connector. The canvas terminals represent the two contacts, not exposed studs. Fully seat the mating connector and use the matching connector color. Connect through the specified REGO combiner system or correctly sized adapter cables and busbars. Protect branch wiring as required by the connected equipment. See power connections, pages 15–19.
Use parallel connection only, with no more than eight matching batteries, equal-length adapter cables and similar battery voltages. Series connection is prohibited. More batteries do not raise a combiner, connector or outgoing cable's own rating.
Commission heating and storage controls
Heating requires more than 15 A stable charging current per battery, starts below 5°C, stops above 10°C and cannot operate below −20°C. Keep heater settings consistent across the bank. Renogy advises disabling heating with unsuitable low-current or PWM sources that make it cycle repeatedly. See heater operation, pages 31–34.
For storage, disconnect the battery from the system and turn it off. The power button alone cannot complete shutdown while the system remains connected. Follow the manual's periodic recharge procedure and inspect connector contacts for corrosion.
