Renogy Core 300 Ah wiring diagram
Plan the main connections for the Renogy Core 300 Ah self-heating battery, model RBT12300LFPSH. Check its 200 A continuous limit, charger settings and heating requirements before adding your loads.
- Nominal voltage
- 12.8 V
- Capacity
- 300 Ah
- Maximum discharge
- 200 A
Connection essentials
Protect the positive
Use external cable protection. The battery BMS does not choose the fuse for your wiring.
Separate Ah from amps
300 Ah is capacity. 200 A is the continuous current limit; size the bank cables for your actual system.
Heating needs charge
Self-heating needs stable charge current greater than 10 A per battery. Intermittent solar may be insufficient.
Wiring diagram
How the 300Ah LFP is wired.
This small-load example shows the battery, disconnect and distribution path. Add your actual loads before using its cable sizes for a complete bank.
Size the battery cables for your loads
This example supplies a small DC load. Its cable sizes are not a full-current battery or inverter installation.
The 300 Ah capacity does not select a fuse. Size each circuit for its connected load, cable route and the battery’s current limits.

Is this the Renogy Core battery I have?
This page covers the Core 12.8 V 300 Ah self-heating battery, RBT12300LFPSH. Check that identifier on your unit; Core Mini and REGO 300 Ah models have different instructions. See Renogy's model directory and the B0 manual.
Is 300 Ah the amount of current I can draw?
No. 300 Ah is capacity; the continuous current limit is 200 A. The specifications allow 200 A continuous charge/discharge and 390 A discharge for five seconds. The 350 A terminal planning allowance shown in Crimp is not the battery's continuous rating.
The example supplies a small DC load through a disconnect and distribution. Its cable sizes are for that example, not a full-current battery or inverter installation. Add your actual loads and chargers before sizing the bank connections.
What charger settings should I use?
Renogy specifies 14.4 V charging, recommends 150 A, and permits up to 200 A. Match the complete profile to the charging settings table. The BMS's protective cutoff is not a normal discharge target.
Will the self-heating work from a small solar array?
It needs stable charging current greater than 10 A per battery. Heating starts below 0°C and stops above 15°C. Intermittent solar may not sustain heating, especially for a parallel bank. The −20°C charging-environment rating depends on working heating; cold-charge protection otherwise applies. See the heater and protection table.
How do I attach cables and combine batteries?
Use M8 × 1.25 × 15 mm bolts at 10–12 Nm, with lugs against the terminals and washers above. Provide external cable protection; the BMS does not choose the branch fuse.
Use matching batteries and equal-length interconnects. Fully charge each battery, verify less than 0.1 V difference, and follow the balancing and bank-connection procedure.
The specification supports 4S4P. Installation text also mentions eight in parallel; confirm that conflicting larger configuration with Renogy before using it.
