Wiring diagram
DC power path for the Lithium NG 25.6/200.
The drawing includes the required battery-management and load-disconnect hardware. Battery data and shutdown control leads are not represented by these symbols; use the complete manufacturer instructions to connect and test them.
DC power-path sizing
The example supplies a small fridge circuit through compatible battery management and load-disconnect hardware. Its power paths do not verify the required BMS communication, remote control or shutdown behavior.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Identify the NG generation
This is the Lithium NG 25.6 V/200 Ah, a 5.12 kWh battery for a nominal 24 V system. It requires a compatible Victron NG BMS. The March 2026 manual describes smallBMS NG, Lynx Smart BMS NG and VE.Bus BMS NG options; choose according to how the system must disconnect loads and chargers. The older Lithium Battery Smart BMS family is not interchangeable. See BMS selection, printed pages 4–8.
Connect the battery data loop
The battery communicates through its M8 male/female BMS leads. Daisy-chain those leads through the bank and connect the first and last to the BMS. These are separate from the power terminals and are not a direct BMS-Can connection. A Lynx Smart BMS NG can communicate onward with a GX device through VE.Can; Bluetooth monitoring also resides in the BMS. See BMS connections, printed page 15.
Apply temperature-dependent current limits
The specification permits 200 A continuous charge/discharge and 400 A for ten seconds for this model. Crimp uses the continuous values; its 500 A terminal planning allowance is not a battery or stud rating. Victron recommends 0.5C charging, or 100 A here.
Charging is permitted at +5 to +50°C, with current reduced to 0.3C, or 60 A, below 15°C. Discharge is permitted at −20 to +50°C, reducing to 0.5C, or 100 A, at or below 0°C. Both need further derating above 35°C according to the manual's curves. See operating conditions, printed pages 20–21.
Mount, fuse and expand the bank
Use M8 power terminals at 10 Nm, lugs against the terminal and washers above. Install dry and indoors, with 20 mm clearance on four sides; upright or side mounting is allowed, terminals downward is not. Fuse the positive connection according to the lowest applicable cable, battery and system limit.
At most two 25.6 V batteries go in series. The manual allows 50 batteries total per BMS, with individual parallel batteries or series strings fused and balanced current paths. Fully charge and balance each before series connection; do not connect loads or links to string midpoints. See installation, printed pages 13–15.
Verify shutdown before service
For manually configured chargers, use 28.4 V absorption for two hours, 27.0 V float, with temperature compensation disabled. Supported DVCC-controlled equipment receives settings automatically. Commission the system by checking that disconnecting a BMS lead stops all chargers and loads, then verify recovery after reconnection. See settings and commissioning, printed page 16.
