Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Which GC3 version is this?
This entry represents the BBGC3, Battle Born's 270 Ah Gamechanger 3.0 LiFePO₄ battery with an internal BMS. It is the standard, non-heated model. BBGC3H adds heating; the separately listed Smart versions add communication features. Check the model label before assuming the battery has either feature. The manufacturer's manual page links the shared BBGC3/BBGC3H manual used here.
The published limits are 300 A continuous discharge, 500 A for 30 seconds, and 135 A maximum charge current. These are battery limits, not automatic fuse choices. The long case measures 22.83 × 7.09 × 13.15 inches; check the actual mounting space rather than assuming a standard golf-cart battery footprint. See specifications, page 7.
How should the terminals be connected?
Crimp's + maps to the red positive terminal and − to black negative. The kit includes 5/16-inch finishing hardware for the flag terminals. Put the cable lug directly against the terminal and follow the washer/nut arrangement in the installation diagram, page 14. Tighten to 9–11 ft-lb with a torque wrench, and use a bolt long enough to engage the locking insert fully.
Provide external overcurrent protection and appropriately sized cables between battery and loads; the internal BMS does not replace cable protection. Crimp's two-terminal symbol does not model BMS trips, heater controls or inverter startup behavior. Battle Born requires its Current Surge Limiter for inverters rated 3500 W or higher, per page 27.
What must be set on charging equipment?
Use 14.2–14.6 V bulk/absorption, 13.4–13.8 V float, and disable temperature compensation and equalization. Apply the profile to every charger, including solar and alternator-fed DC-DC charging. Regular full charges allow the BMS to balance cells. See charging instructions, page 16.
Revision 030 contains conflicting absorption durations and charging-temperature limits between pages 7, 16 and 22. Confirm those settings and the exact protection thresholds with Battle Born for your battery revision; do not infer cold-weather charging capability from the heated sibling.
Can several batteries form a bank?
The manual allows series connections up to 48 V. Fully charge batteries individually to the same state of charge before connecting them in series. Series connections increase voltage while retaining 270 Ah; parallel connections add capacity. Use matched batteries and follow the bank diagrams, pages 18–20.
