Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Identify the 100 Ah AGM battery
This is RNG-BATT-AGM12-100, a 12 V, 100 Ah sealed lead-acid AGM battery. The shared 100/200 Ah manual has separate model columns; use the 100 Ah column. AGM batteries require an AGM charging profile and ventilation. They do not acquire lithium-style BMS disconnect protection merely because a catalog component has current limits.
Use the correct current ratings
Renogy's specification table, printed pages 9–10, specifies 30 A maximum continuous charging and 100 A maximum continuous discharge. The catalog's discharge value has been corrected from 30 A to 100 A; the lower number belonged to charging. The table's 1100 A for five seconds is a short surge figure and cannot be used as a continuous load or cable rating.
This manual rates the 100 Ah model over 10 hours to 10.5 V; the 200 Ah column uses a different, 20-hour rate. Large inverter loads shorten usable runtime more than a simple amp-hour division predicts. Crimp's terminal envelope is a planning value, not a separately verified physical terminal rating.
Connect and mount the battery
The installation instructions, printed pages 4–5, specify a clean, cool, dry mounting location with airflow, M8 × 1.25 × 15 mm bolts, and direct lug-to-terminal contact. The reviewed manual does not provide a clear tightening torque; obtain the value for the actual battery hardware rather than borrowing a lithium-model torque.
Secure the battery against movement, shield the positive terminal, and provide correctly rated battery-side protection and a disconnect. The internal safety valves may release gas under fault or overcharge conditions, so a sealed battery still needs a ventilated enclosure. Charging is specified at 0–50°C, discharge at −20–60°C.
Configure the charging stages
At 25°C, the charging table, printed page 13, gives 14.4–14.8 V boost for two to four hours, with −24 mV/°C compensation, and 13.5–13.8 V float, with −18 mV/°C compensation. Match temperature sensing and compensation to the bank voltage and charger implementation.
The document contains inconsistent generic text about lithium-style cell balancing. Do not use that passage to infer an internal BMS or select a lithium profile. Its equalization table stays within 14.4–14.8 V; it does not authorize a charger's arbitrary high-voltage flooded-battery desulfation mode.
Assemble a matched bank
The manual lists four batteries maximum in a pure series bank or four in a pure parallel bank, plus separate combined examples. Use matching batteries, charge each before assembly and balance current paths. Select protection for each parallel branch and the common feed from the real cable and load design; do not assume every combination of the separate maxima is approved. See bank table, printed page 7.
