Pylontech US5000 wiring diagram
The US5000 is a 48 V, 4.8 kWh rack battery for a compatible inverter/charger. Check power and communication connections, parallel-bank requirements and the distinction from the US5000-B.

Connection essentials
48 V system
Use compatible 48 V equipment. This is not a direct replacement for a 12 V leisure battery.
Parallel only
Never connect modules in series. Adding modules does not increase one output cable pair’s capacity.
Plan communications
Use the specified inverter/BMS cable and settings. CAN, RS485 and protective grounding are outside the power example.
Wiring diagram
How the Pylontech US5000 is wired.
A small 48 V DC load illustrates the power path. Inverter connections, protective grounding and BMS communication are not shown; use Pylontech’s complete installation diagram.
Plan the complete 48 V bank
The small DC-load example explains the power path. Its cables do not represent a full inverter installation or the bank’s maximum output.
Use the specified battery cable set, compatible inverter and BMS communications. Check cable-pair capacity and external protection for the complete bank.

Is this the right battery for my system?
The US5000 is a 48 V rack battery for a compatible inverter/charger system. It is not a direct replacement for a 12 V leisure battery. Each LiFePO4 module stores 4.8 kWh and has an internal BMS. This corresponds to 100 Ah at nominal voltage. The manual covers US5000 and US5000-B; only the B version has the illustrated integral breaker. Do not assume that breaker exists on this entry. See specifications and front panels, printed pages 8–9.
How much current can one module supply?
Crimp's 80 A charge/discharge values are Pylontech's recommended operating currents. The manual separately allows 100 A maximum continuous at cell temperatures of 10–40°C, with derating outside that range. The 101–120 A fifteen-minute and 121–200 A fifteen-second bands are temporary limits. Charging is specified at 0–50°C and discharge at −10–50°C in this edition.
Which inverter and communication cable do I need?
Use an inverter/charger that supports the battery's communication protocol and obeys BMS limits. The manual's 52.5–53.5 V charging range is not a substitute for the inverter manufacturer's Pylontech integration settings. CAN and RS485 are control connections omitted from the two-terminal symbol.
Can I add more modules?
Never connect US5000 modules in series. One group supports up to 16 modules. Connect the battery Link ports as shown; the module with empty Link Port 0 is master. Use the specified inverter communication cable: its pins 1–3 are unconnected, so an arbitrary Ethernet patch lead is not equivalent. See communications, printed page 12.
The external 4 AWG cable pair is rated 100 A constant; additional modules do not increase a single pair's capacity. Provide protective grounding and a suitably rated DC disconnection/protection device. Its interrupting capacity must account for the bank; the manual gives specific module-count examples. See cables and protection, printed pages 17 and 23.
How should the bank be mounted and started?
Use a dry, protected rack location, supporting each module from below; handles alone are not supports. Do not stack bare modules directly or mount them upside down/on their sides. After checking power and communication wiring, switch the modules on and start the master. Allow the three-second soft start before applying high power. Follow the shutdown order before disconnecting self-locking plugs. See installation and startup, printed pages 18–25.
