Confirm the Pro III hardware before installation
The manufacturer-authored HC12V125 document hosted by Sparelys matches the catalog's 12.8 V, 125 Ah, 100 A charge/discharge, 50 A recommended charge and 400 A overcurrent figures. It covers a Bluetooth battery with heating, but does not print the catalog's Lithium Pro III generation name. No catalog photo is available to resolve that distinction. This is therefore family-level guidance, not verification that every Pro III unit has the described heater or BMS firmware.
A separate newer Connect 125 manual has different current ratings. Do not transfer those ratings to this component. Verify the actual label, serial/generation and supplied manual before selecting charging settings or bank limits.
Separate operating limits from protective trips
The HC12V125 table, PDF page 3, gives 100 A maximum charge, 100 A maximum discharge, and 50 A or less recommended charge. Its 400 ± 50 A overcurrent protection is a BMS trip range, not a usable continuous or surge rating. The 10 V end-of-discharge value likewise does not make repeated full depletion a sensible operating target.
The matching family document specifies 14.6 ± 0.1 V normal charging and 13.8 ± 0.1 V standby float. Use these only after confirming that the actual battery belongs to this documented revision. Select a compatible LiFePO4 charger and disable unrelated lead-acid equalization routines.
Check the heating behavior at low temperature
The table distinguishes charge currents above and below 5 A. The heater explanation, PDF page 7, says that with more than 5 A available, below-zero operation first heats the battery, starts charging above 0°C and continues heating until 15°C. Its separate low-current wording is not a blanket authorization to charge an unidentified Pro III battery below freezing.
Confirm heater presence and observe actual battery temperature and BMS state before winter commissioning. The family discharge range is −20 to +60°C; protective trips should not be the normal means of regulating temperature or load.
Complete the missing connection details
The document shows positive/negative power connections and Bluetooth monitoring, but does not establish a dependable terminal torque or a maximum series/parallel bank size for the catalog's exact generation. Obtain those details before final assembly. Provide secured cables, covered terminals, positive-side overcurrent protection and an accessible disconnect. A 100 A BMS rating does not itself select a wire gauge or fuse. Check every charging source and load against the lowest verified system limit.
