What it does

Drop-in 12 V / 100 Ah lithium iron phosphate house battery in a Group 31 case, with the BMS built in. The BMS allows 100 A of continuous discharge, tolerates a 200 A surge for up to 30 seconds, and accepts up to 50 A of charge.

Wiring it

Wires like any 12 V battery: positive feed through a fuse close to the post, negative return to the system bus, and interconnects sized for the whole bank's current when batteries are paralleled. Lithium charge profiles are expected from every source — alternator charging goes through a DC-DC charger rather than a direct feed.

What people get wrong

Sizing an inverter against one battery's BMS limit. A 12 V inverter pulling 1500 W draws well over the 100 A a single BB10012 will deliver continuously — the BMS disconnects under a load the inverter is rated to carry. Big inverter loads need the bank paralleled until the combined continuous rating covers the draw, with interconnects sized for the total.
